Betaal narrates the story of Queen Bhanumati, who was a symbol of justice. Suyog and Duryog, the conjoined twins, are accused of setting a farmer’s house on fire. On learning that only Duryog is the culprit, Bhanumati wonders how to punish one of the conjoined twins. Hence, she sends them to an Ashram, as it’s a bliss for Suyog and nothing less than a prison for Duryog. One day, Rajyogi, Bhanumati’s mentor, is killed. A guilty Bhanumati goes to fetch ‘Jeevandravya’ to bring Rajyogi back to life.
