Zee Kannada is known for its exceptional primetime channel lineups like Gattimela, Kamali, Paaru, Radha Kalyana and now Jothe Jotheyali, which are extremely relatable women-centric shows. For an actor to be recognised amidst the scores of other artistes out there, he/she has to be that good. And so our channel has no dearth of talent whatsoever because a majority of these celebs are in their A-game while on screen.

We have a managed to spot these Zee Kannada TV celebs, who have actually played supporting characters in some films, all available on ZEE5. Starting with namma body-builder, Thandav Ram, who played the prominent role of Rama in the show Jodi Hakki that went off-air not so long ago. Thandav has also played a small role in the Aishwarya Arjun and Chandan Kumar-starrer Prema Baraha, as one of the soldiers at the LoC.

Yamuna Srinidhi, also known as Gauri, Manglamma and Saroja on the Zee Kannada show Kamali, has acted in Prema Baraha too. She portrayed the role of an army doctor, who tries to save the life of a soldier but to no avail.

Vinaya Prasad, who plays the role of Arasane Koteya Akhilandeshwari on the hit show Paaru, has a cameo  in Rajaratha, starring Nirup Bhandari and Avantika Shetty. Her role of Usha in the fantasy-drama was that of a bus-passenger, who in hindsight owns a jewellery store in the city. Trust me after seeing Vinaya Prasad as Akhilandeshwari, it will be difficult for you to imagine her as Usha. To watch Rajaratha, click here.

Seen as Maya, the antagonist in Yaare Nee Mohini, Aishwarya Baspure has also acted in the film Premier Padmini. She essays the character of Pragati, Vinayak’s colleague, who helps him get a driver for his vintage car. Her role in the movie proved that Aishwarya can play both a negative as well as a positive person effectively. To watch Premier Padmini, click here.

Namma Vivek Simha, aka Soorya from Mahadevi, which went off-air recently, has a meaty role in the film Premier Padmini. His character Sumukh is Vinayak’s son, who likes to stay aloof from his parents because of what they put him through when he was a kid. Vivek has done a good job with his character.

Namma Pushpa Sirimane, from the latest Zee Kannada show Jothe Jotheyali, has played an important role of Ningamma in Chemistry Of Kariyappa. While both Pushpa’s and Ningamma’s characters are pretty much the same in both the projects, Apurva has done a lovely job in both and we have no complaints. Watch Chemistry Of Kariyappa, here.

Last but not least is Kaushalya Keshavmurthy aka Girija Lokesh from the show Subbalakshmi Samsara. She too has done excellent work in the film Seetharama Kalyana as Geetha’s grandmother. Her role is that of a cool ajji and the actress as aced it. Watch Seetharama Kalyana here.
