Dharshana Asokan and Jai Akash’s popular telly series Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham is keeping its audiences hooked like never ever. With its numerous twists and turns, the daily soap has managed to garner the attention of many within a month’s time. Yes, the show has been winning the hearts of the audiences since day one (when it first premiered on February 24, 2020).

If you too are a fan of Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham, besides the lead pair, you will surely have a favourite character from the show. While there are several characters who can be admired (such as Pushpa, Subramaniam, Ramya among others), my favourite one has to be Subbu (Subramaniam). He is a perfect example of parenting. Most of you, who have daddy issues, in today’s time, will surely crave for a father like Subbu. Let’s take a look at the qualities that makes Subbu the perfect father.

Supportive nature

Subbu is a calm man; he hardly gets angry at his wife Pushpa or daughter Anu. We have seen that when Anu makes an independent decision, he has always been very supportive and has only encouraged her more, pushing her to become an independent woman. While Pushpa sometimes disagrees with Anu’s decisions, Subbu has only motivated her to do what she likes and even convince Pushpa for it.

Protective

Remember when Anu started working and used to get late sometimes? Subbu used to get really worried even if she’s slightly late. He is very protective of his daughter. On the other hand, Pushpa, who is a bold woman, always try to make Anu like her but Subbu’s pampering has made her a shy person.

Teaches good values

When Surya gives Anu a blank cheque, the latter wanted to return it to him. This quality shows that Anu’s been taught good values. While Pushpa is a little greedy and wanted to use the cheque given by Surya, Anu and Subbu wanted to give it back as they believed that it would be wrong to take favours from anyone. Clearly, it is Subbu’s teachings that makes Anu a beautiful human being. Just like her father, Anu too is very calm, patient, hardworking and focused.

Takes a stand

When Subbu’s neighbour’s relative come to see Anu and to ask her hand in marriage. Subbu goes against it as he wants his daughter to study and work. But for his wife, he keeps mum. However, when the boy’s father accuses Anu of having a relationship with Suryaprakash and questions his daughter’s character, Subbu lashes out at the man and throws him out of his house. Subbu definitely takes a stand for Anu whenever needed.
