In a recent episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Bangla 2020, singer and judge Akriti Kakar wore a stunning red ikat saree with a very special ‘sindur khela’ patchwork done on the back of her blouse. She paired the beautiful attire with attractive gold temple jewellery and soft makeup, red lip look. Akriti Kakar shared a bunch of lovely photos of this special outfit from the day on her Instagram.

Akriti Kakar made sure to flaunt the detailed design of the famous ‘sindur khela’ on her blouse. ‘Sindur Khela’ is an integral part of Durga Puja rituals among married Bengali women. They do so as a sign of the conclusion of the worshipping celebration after applying vermillion (sindur) on Goddess Durga’s forehead and feet.

Akriti Kakar’s blouse also had ‘Shubho Bijoya’ and ‘Abar Esho Ma’ written on the sleeves of her blouse. These are phrases that Bengalis chant while bidding goodbye to Goddess Durga on the last day of Durga Pujo. While Akriti Kakar managed to look absolutely gorgeous in this outfit on the show, we believe this is a classic piece that all the Bengali women would love having in their wardrobes as well.
