Sonu Sood is making the headlines since the Income Tax Department’s officials have conducted surveys at six locations in Mumbai and some other places. According to the officials, the survey was going on at his offices in Mumbai and even in Lucknow. Yesterday it was not clear if the action was being undertaken at Sonu Sood’s residence also. According to the emerging information from the sources of a leading portal, no documents have been seized by the IT department team which came for a survey on a consecutive day. The same source further stated that a deal between Sonu Sood and a Lucknow-based real estate firm is under the Income Tax department’s scanner following allegations of tax evasion.
Talking more about yesterday’s survey, it is being carried out to discover the actual income that the taxpayer earned in a particular financial year. The survey involves the inspection of books and documents and not their seizures. The actor is also expected to be questioned. But till now, he has not issued any statement on the same matter. Along with Sonu Sood, his partner Anil Singh was also under search by the Income Tax department.
