Akshay Kumar In Talks With Karan Johar For C. Sankaran Nair Biopic

Recently, Karan Johar had announced his upcoming project based on the ‘Jallianwala Bagh Massacre’. The story of this period drama will revolve around the brutal Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the courtroom drama that followed it. In fact, according to history, this case was led by lawyer, C. Sankaran Nair, and that’s what the film will also focus on. And now, as per reports, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is in talks with Dharma Productions for taking up the role of C. Sankaran Nair in the said courtroom drama.

The untold story of C. Sankaran Nair

Sharing this exciting news with the world, Karan Johar had written, “Extremely excited and honoured to be bringing the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, a historic man to the big screens”. Directed by Karan Tyagi, the film will focus on the legendary battle between C. Sankaran Nair and the British Raj. The film will be based don’t the famous book around the same incident, ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’, written by Nair’s great-grandson, Raghu and wife Pushpa Palat.

Akshay Kumar playing C. Sankaran Nair

According to reports, Akshay Kumar surely seems interested in the story. It was also said that the actor found C. Sankaran Nair’s character and his story quite interesting. Moreover, Akshay has already played the character of a Lawyer in Jolly LLB 2 and hence it has already piqued the interest of his fans to see him playing the character of Nair.
