Ayushmann Khurrana On Doing Unconventional Roles: Doesn’t Want It To Be A Pattern; Although Idea Fascinates Him

Ayushmann Khurrana is a versatile actor who is noted for his ability to make wise decisions, as he has picked some of the best screenplays. He’s starred in a number of unconventional films, and his fans appreciate him for it. The actor recently starred alongside Vaani Kapoor in Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana says he wants to shatter societal stigmas with his film selections, but he is continuously trying to redefine himself because he just doesn’t want the genres to get repetitive for him.

The actor has addressed subjects such as homophobia, transphobia, premature baldness, and erectile dysfunction in films such as the ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ series, ‘Bala,’ and his most recent ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,’ with the consistent strand of one’s identification running through them all. In an interview, Khurrana stated that taboo topics fascinate him because they provide “excellent food for discussions.”

Because there will be no confrontation until these themes are set against a center, orthodox backdrop, they must be. There’ll be no issue if any of it is placed in an upper-class, awakened environment. So that there is any transformation, it must be a traditional, backward family.”

“This struggle exudes humour and, in the end, conveys an important message in a pleasant manner. Even if it’s a cliched film, it has to be a discussion generator and an additional value. What’s the point of going to the movies if it’s not fun?
Many believe that films about forbidden issues are becoming his go-to genre, and the 37-year-old actor is conscious of this. Khurrana said he isn’t bothered by the impression, but he is wary about falling into a pattern.

As an actor, his task is to consistently defy genre, which he will do in upcoming films like “Anek” and “Action Hero.” How should we do anything unique with a taboo issue somebody who believes movies should be used prudently? It can’t possibly be a formula. Because of the streaming apps, many people are subjected to media from all over the world, he believes it is difficult to be ordinary today.
