Darbaan First Look: Glimpse Of Raicharan-Anukool’s Beautiful Bond In This Rabindranath Tagore Inspired Story

ZEE5 announced their latest film Darbaan recently. This family drama is a ZEE5 Original slated to premiere on 4 December 2020. The movie is the digital adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s story with the same name. Recently, ZEE5 released the first look of Darbaan. This heart-warming tale of a master and his caretaker is helmed by the National Film Award Winner, Bipin Nadkarni. Take a look at the first poster of Darbaan.

In the poster, a man dressed as a farmer is seen carrying a child on his back as they gaze at something in distance. Darbaan is the story of Anukool and Raicharan that is the coal miner and his caretaker. So the poster makes it evident that Anukool is the child and his caretaker Raicharan is carrying him on his back. Darbaan is a tale of love, redemption and the faithful bond between a guide and his master.  The poster also shows Darbaan written in bold font and the credits in cursive and block letters.

Darbaan follows a narrative about an innocent friendship between the son of a rich coal miner(Anukool) and his caretaker(Raicharan). As the kid grows up and gets married, and eventually he has his own son. Raicharan takes care of Anukool’s son. Darbaan will explore the bond between the two that is beyond any social and economic gap between them. But, in a turn of events, their lives would change forever as an incident would bring grudges between their relationship. It is a story that will not only test relationships but also the extent to which a man will go for redemption.

Darbaan is bankrolled under the banner of Opticus Picture Company with Yogesh Beldar as co-producer. The movie would star Sharib Hashmi in the role of Raicharan while Sharad Kelkar would be portraying the role of a coal miner Anukool. Rasika Duggal and Flora Saini would get into the shoes of Raicharan and Anukool’s wife respectively. Bipin Nadkarni would be making his directorial debut in Bollywood with the movie Darbaan.
