Fashion Friday: Here’s A Look At What The Characters In The Latest Zee Bangla TV Serial Alo Chhaya Prefer Wearing

The latest Zee Bangla TV serial Alo Chhaya centres around around the two titular lead characters– Alo (played by Debadrita Basu) and Chhaya (played by Oindrila Bose), who grew up together and are best friends. In their adult lives, they continue to be akin to sisters, despite several challenges that come their way. Let’s take a look at the fashion that the characters in Alo Chhaya like to sport in this popular Bengali TV show.

1. Alo

When it comes to fashion, Alo follows a pretty traditional style. She wears a classic look of a neatly draped saree (usually pink, red or blue), with her long hair parted and pinned at the sides. She also smears a line of sindoor on her head, and dots a little as a bindi on her forehead. Alo wears minimal jewellery– usually a small chain necklace and earrings. Her tortoise-shell glasses complete the look.

2. Akash

Akash Sengupta (played by Arnab Banerjee) is Alo’s husband. He is a fun-loving person who enjoys music, and his style reflects that. He usually wears casual clothing like these denim jeans and a sporty T-shirt. Akash wears his hair short, sometimes swept upwards at the front with a bit of gel, and he always wears his glasses too!

3. Chhaya

Chhaya prefers a modern casual style too. You’ll find her wearing salwar kameez styles which are spruced up with a splash of colour on a flowing scarf or dupatta, which she drapes around her neck. Chhaya recently got married to Baban, and hence the addition of the sindoor and the shakha-pola bangles in red and white.

4. Baban

Pratik aka Baban is Akash’s younger cousin. He is quite the villain! Baban prefers wearing smart-casuals, like this collared T-shirt in dark green, which he pairs with plain trousers or denims. He keeps his hair short, and sports a small tuft of beard and a moustache on his face. (We think the facial hair helps him to be taken more seriously!)
