Lahore Confidential Reviews: Netizens And Critics Praise The Spy Thriller Of Love, Deceit and Subterfuge

Lahore Confidential, a spy thriller with the elements of love and betrayal, premiered on ZEE5 on 4th February. Starring Richa Chadha, Arunoday Singh and Karishma Tanna in the lead roles, the film has been receiving a lot of praise. The critics and the netizens loved the performances of all the actors and also the flow of the story. Kunal Kohli’s direction also received a lot of praise. The Pinkvilla website praised the film, saying that it is ‘a romantic spy thriller that you cannot afford to miss’. Praising Richa Chadha’s performance, the reviewer said, “Richa Chadda is brilliant as the docile and shy Ananya. She expresses emotions with her beautiful eyes whether it is irritation about the constant marriage question that is posed by her mother or her admiration as she listens to soul-stirring Urdu poetry.”

The Hindustan Times rated the film 3/5 stars. Praising the plot, the review said, “ZEE5’s latest release Lahore Confidential will take you into the world of spies, RAW agents on secret missions and cross border espionage as you get absorbed in this saga of love, deceit and subterfuge.”

The ABP Live’s Hindi website also gave Lahore Confidential 3/5 stars. The review praises the plot and the direction. It says, “The film moves at a fast pace and keeps you engaged from the beginning till the end.”

The Pakaoo. in website gave the film 4/5 stars. Praising Lahore Confidential’s scripts, the review said, “The script had the perfect balance of drama, silence, dialogues as well as colloquial diction.”

The Grihshobha website also rated the film 3/5. Praising the performances, the review said, “Once again Richa Chadha has excelled at her performance. Arunoday Singh also gives a great performance. It seems like the film industry has not explored his full potential yet.”
