Since the pandemic and the lockdown has gotten everyone to stay at home, making it unable to plan anything for new year’s, there’s a need for a bang of a movie. And ZEE5 has that plan sorted for you. So don’t worry about your plans not happening on New Year’s day, ZEE5’s movie Nail Polish is releasing on January 1st. And here are 5 reasons why you will absolutely love this movie!
Watch its trailer here:
1. A Courtroom thriller like no other
Who doesn’t like a good mystery thriller? Better yet, who doesn’t like a great courtroom mystery? Lawyers going head-to-head, unfolding a suspenseful plot and leaving us at the edge of our seats is damn interesting. Nail Polish promises all of it. Its plot revolves around a man accused of killing 38 migrant children and it is up to the 2 lawyers to prove if he is innocent or guilty. Apart from this, we also get to see something new about a courtroom thriller – in the trailer we see Lawyer Jaisingh (Arjun Rampal), who is defending the accused (Manav Kaul), demanding a mistrial! A mistrial is when a case is declared invalid due to an error in its proceedings. Interesting stuff!
2. Based on true incidents
Another thing about this movie is that it is inspired by true incidents. This only makes the plot and the mystery even darker. It also increases the intrigue for the film, making us wonder, what actually might’ve happened in that real incident and how the plot is adapted from it.
3. Great Cast
A good plot is best presented by 2 things, one of which is a good portrayal of it. And the cast of Nail Polish is absolutely awesome. The prime accused of the case is played by Manav Kaul, who we’ve all loved in the show The Verdict – State vs Nanavati. The lawyer defending him is played by the National Award-winning actor, Arjun Rampal. He had made his digital debut with the show The Final Call. We have one more National Award winner, Rajit Kapur, playing the role of the judge. We have all loved him in films like Deadline and Uri: The Surgical Strike. Anand Tiwari, the actor who we know from Go Goa Gone, is the lawyer fighting the case against Arjun Rampal.
4. Great Director
Another thing that a good plot needs, is a good direction. The director of Nail Polish is Bugs Bhargava Krishna, who has also written the film. He is best known for his role in the movie Taare Zameen Par, and for directing the thriller film Barot House on ZEE5. Coming from this talented person, Nail Polish is surely going to be a great film.
5. An intriguing title
Nail Polish not only has a mysterious plot, but also a mysterious title! We watched the film’s teaser and trailer, and yet, none of those things revealed why the film’s title is so! Now, this is what makes this suspenseful movie even more intriguing and makes us so eager to watch it.
