Javed Akhtar is a social advocate, poet, songwriter, and screenwriter from India. He has garnered five National Film Awards and was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 for his contributions to Hindi cinema. The songwriter has given the music business some of the best compositions, and his melodies are true gems. On January 17th, the poet turns 77 years old.

As one half of the legendary screenplay pair Salim-Javed, Akhtar rose to prominence. He is also well-known for composing tunes for films that have been looped. Javed Akhtar was born in Gwalior on January 17, 1945, and his poetry ruled over millions of souls. Nisar Akhtar, Javed’s dad, was a renowned poet, and Safia Akhtar, his mom, was an Urdu author and professor.
Javed’s mother died when he was a child. Javed, who persuaded everyone with the might of his pen, earned his bachelor’s degree from a Bhopal institution. Javed earned his screen debut in the movie Sarhadi Lutera, in which he had a supporting part. Javed met Salim Khan in the Bollywood industry, and the two collaborated on many movies, writing dialogues and scripts. Jadoo was the name given to him by Javed Akhtar’s dad. His parents named him Jadoo after a phrase from his poem, “Lamha lamha kisi jadu ka fasana hoga.” On the shooting of the movie ‘Sita Aur Geeta,’ Javed met his first partner Honey Irani. Furthermore, they both have the same birthday, January 17. At one point, Javed assisted Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi.
Javed eventually divorced his first lady and married Shabana Azmi, Kaifi Azmi’s daughter. Javed arrived in Mumbai, the metropolis of aspirations, in 1964. Javed used to go door to door searching for employment in the Bollywood industry when he moved here. He didn’t have a place to reside at the time, and he didn’t have enough food to eat.

Salim-Javed, a well-known Bollywood duo, dissolved in 1982 owing to personal disagreements. They collaborated on a total of 24 films, 20 of which were box office hits. Two Telugu films and one Kannada movie are among them.
