LSD definitely proved out to be a perfect watch for the viewers obsessed with the world of crime and thriller sagas. While medical crimes were at the heart of the show, it also explored some relevant themes which added a much-needed essence to the story.
So, here’s taking a look at some of the interesting and relevant themes essayed in Love, Scandal And Doctors.
In the first episode itself where the show draws a series of flashbacks introducing us to each and every character, it shows us how different these individuals are from each other. And their behaviour is justified by their background and by what they have faced in their past. Firstly there’s Kartik (Ishaan Khanna) who’s the son of Dr Rana (Rahul Dev) and then there’s Sara (Tanaya Sachdeva) who hails from a small town and carries the rage against “nepotism”
Throughout Kartik and Sara’s flaming chemistry and the battles that go on ahead in the story, the show sheds a light on the class divide prevailing in the nation and how influentials favour from the massive gap.
After finding themselves in trouble, these five individuals plot plans to safely escape from the eyes of the law but eventually land in a deeper problem. To get rid of the emotional dilemma Vik turns towards drugs and relives his haunting past. While this was a subtle plotline, the big twist comes in the end when Sara’s mother appears in the story.
How Sara’s mother ruined her family relationships after getting used to drugs also leads Sara to deal with the trauma of her past.
Rahima (Srishti Ganguli) deals with an abusive marriage which ultimately becomes the major plot point of this thrilling drama. The way Rahima deals with it and later with the help of her friends she fights against her abusive husband. In the mid-segment of the story, you would believe that the show is a revenge saga against domestic violence but again it leaves you with more surprises and twists.
Rahul Dev’s character of Dean Rana comes out as a surprise in the end and that’s where the show takes an unexpected turn. Dr, Rana whom we thought of as a responsible and renowned professional turns out to be the mastermind of this saga. His ego eventually makes him an exact opposite personality which also gives his characters a variety of shades, adding a great touch to the drama.
Dealing with your personal ego in a responsible profession is quite a hard task which Rana failed to do and that’s what made him evil.
So, these were some of the interesting themes explored in this suspense-driven drama that eventually made the show an important watch.
Meanwhile, stay tuned to ZEE5 for more interesting content and stories.
