Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna took to Instagram to wish his strapping son Mokshanga Teja on his birthday with a throwback picture. Showering the fatherly love in the birthday post, the Tollywood star called Teja – Our Young Lion Nandamuri, who turns 27 today.
Teja or Moksha as he is fondly called, is also the grandson of another doyen of Tollywood – Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao-Basavatarakam. He is the youngest of the three children of the Balakrishna and Vasudhara Devi. Balakrishna, who turned 61 in June, is all smiles in the lovely family picture and Teja is seen sporting a white sleeveless t-shirt and a blue knee-length half-pant.
The young boy seems to be conscious of the leader of the pack holding his hand, trying to conceal a smile. The post in a way is perhaps a big reminder of the love that Balakrishna has for Teja. This seems a far cry for the torchbearer of the NTR clan who has 31.6k followers to boot. Fans of Balakrishna were quick to react to this post and wished Nandamuri Mokshagna in return.

If a few fans sent emojis of flower bouquets and cake to Teja, others followed it up with a birthday message and a loving heart. A fan kathullasrikanth hailed Teja as a King in wishing Balakrishna’s son, perhaps signaling the much-anticipated entry of the latest from the Nandamuri clan into Tollywood.
Balakrishna’s Instagram post drew replies from fans both in Telugu and English. The young Teja who was keen to make his entry into Tollywood earlier was made to complete his studies first by Balakrishna. This was the same condition that the former Andhra Pradesh CM NTR had imposed on Balakrishna before he took the Tollywood plunge. Teja has undertaken a management course in New York, USA. Tollywood is replete with instances of children of stars following in the footsteps of their established parents and Balayya aka Balakrishna has continued this tradition.
