As Meera from Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham tells Surya that he was always partial towards Anu, we understand and agree with her. Here are a few incidents that prove Surya is a leader who lets his personal feelings for Anu, come in the way of the decisions that might have affected other people in the company.
1) When Surya promoted Anu as the Head of Devanandini sarees
We have no doubts about the fact that Anu is a capable woman, and she has the potential to take the brand of Devanandini sarees to new heights. However, she was just out of college, when he gave the position to her. She might be great at her job, but Surya cannot discount the fact that there were other able people with more experience than her.
2) When Surya stopped Anu from leaving the city
When Surya first transferred Anu to another city, he made sure that he was the one to stop her. Although, when Meera left the company for some time, he did not try to stop her. It told everyone how Surya valued Anu more than anyone else because he wouldn’t do for others, as much as he did for Anu.

3) When Surya only told Anu that he wasn’t in London
When Surya had to hide from Surendran, he made sure that nobody knew he was India. However, he still tried to talk to Anu because he couldn’t stay away from her. He congratulated her for giving an idea, and while the idea was great, would you think that Surya would have risked his life to congratulate someone else?
4) When Surya comes down to defend Anu
When Anu was accused of cheating the company and taking a bribe, Surya made sure that he was with Anu all the way. He even made sure that her parents were okay. He came to the office, just to prove that Anu was right. While we are sure that he would give everyone the benefit of doubt, he wouldn’t go to the lengths of proving their innocence.
5) When Surya gives her leaves for her exams and afterwards
While it is understood that he granted a few leaves for her exams, the fact that he gave her the option of joining back when she wants, was a little too baffling. There are hardly companies that would give you time off for preparing for your exams, but what Surya does, surprised everyone.
So these instances prove how Surya has been partial towards Anu and Meera is right when she points that out to him!
