Paurushpur Actress Poulomi Das Comes Up With A Creative Alternative To Hug People On The Set

Last month, journalist Rohit Khilnani organized a live discussion based on #NextUpOnZEE5 where he discussed the upcoming shows and web series on the Zee5 OTT platform. He discussed many shows including Black Widows, Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti, Darbaan, Paurashpur, and more with cast members of the show. While the entire discussion was quite informative and interesting, Paurushpur actress Poulomi Das‘ rather creative take on ‘hugging people’ in the era of pandemic won our hearts!

Actress and model Poulomi Das will be next seen in ‘one of the biggest’ web series presented by Zee5 – Paurashpur. Paurashpur is a story of kings, queens, and those related to them as they engage in a battle of sexes to attain power. Poulomi will be seen playing the role of a daasi named Kala – a beautiful, bold, and impressionable girl who becomes a queen as the series unfolds.
Poulomi participated in a live discussion on Paurushpur with journalist Rohit Khilnani alongside her co-actor Sahil Salathia. While spilling the details on Paurushpur, Sahil revealed that Paurushpur was shot entirely during the pandemic and that ‘immense precautions’ were taken during the shoot. Poulomi too shared her experience of shooting during the pandemic and said, “I love hugging people, but due to the pandemic we could not even hug each other.”

As the actress could not hug anybody on set, she started fist-bumping the cast and crew members on set as an alternative to hugging. “We were not even allowed to shake hands so we used to bumps our fists”, she said while demonstrating a fist-bump. When Sahil asked her if she missed filming Paurashpur, Poulomi said, “I think I’m really missing the vibes on the set, how we used to shoot, the costumes..I really miss the entire team” and when Rohit asked them if they were afraid to step on set during Covid-19, Poulomi said, “I was not really scared but I knew I had to be cautious about a few things.”
Paurashpur is all set to premiere on December 29 this year exclusively on Zee5. It packs a powerful and promising cast that also includes Milind Soman, Annu Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, Shaheer Sheikh, and more. in lead roles, stay tuned to watch Paurashpur only on Zee5.
