Payal Rohatgi Arrested For Allegedly Harassing Neighbours And Children

Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Payal Rohatgi was arrested on Friday, 25 June 2021 after an FIR was lodged against her on Thursday. The actress is said to have threatened her neighbours after which the chairman of her housing society in Ahmedabad. The actress, who has been living with her parents for more than a year in the society had been allegedly harassing her neighbours and threatening to break children’s legs for playing in the common area.

The actress owns a house in the society and even attended the house owners’ general meeting with her parents on June 20. In the meeting, she is said to have abused society members and sent angry messages on the society’s WhatsApp group as well. Payal Rohatgi was taken into custody by the Ahmedabad Police on Friday. She underwent a Covid-19 test which came negative, but the actress has been showing a few symptoms of the virus.

The actress was seen walking into the police station in a white cotton shirt and blue jeans. She has now recorded her statement at the station as well. Payal Rohatgi did not like society’s children using common areas like playing ground and she showed her dismay in foul language which irked members of the society. It is said that the actress threatened and abused the chairman of the society on their WhatsApp group and that is when the chairman decided to take action against her.

This is not the first time that the actress was sent to jail. In 2019, the actress was jailed for an objectionable post against the Nehru-Gandhi family. She was let out on bail. The actress is known for her controversial statements and unfiltered personality.
