Radhe: All About The Film’s Original Release Dates And How It Got Affected Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

This Eid, on May 13, Salman Khan is coming back with his big release – Radhe. Announced in October 2019, people have been eagerly waiting for this movie to come out. Now, the movie is finally getting released worldwide, and the fans of Salman Khan can not stop rejoicing. But did you know when the Radhe movie was originally planned to release, and how many difficulties it incurred due to the pandemic? Read on to know.

In October 2019, there had been reports that director Prabhudeva will be directing a sequel to Wanted, with Salman Khan resuming his role Radhe from the film. After some time, Salman Khan announced that the film will be titled Radhe and will be released on Eid 2020. The filming of Radhe then began in November 2019, and everyone was sure that the film would definitely release in Eid 2020, getting highly excited for it. But who knew about the disaster that was waiting to hit us?

After the film had commenced shooting, it was slated to finish filming by February 2020, and then go into post-production, which would then have allowed the film to be released in May 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic then hit the world and the situation began getting worse, due to which, the filming could not be completed in February 2020, as it was planned earlier.

From February till October, like the rest of the world, the film’s shooting also came to a halt. In October 2020, after the lockdown rules began getting eased, the shooting of Radhe was resumed. On 14th October, the filming of Radhe was completed. Originally planned to be released in May 2020, the Radhe movie was now delayed big time. Everyone was now extremely yearning for the film’s release or at least its announcement. In January, Salman Khan then confirmed the release of Radhe.

After a long long wait, the movie finally got its release date, which is May 13, 2020. Radhe trailer has already released and you can check that out. After 10 films since 2009, Radhe will be Salman Khan’s 11th film to release on Eid. Everyone is well aware of Salman Khan’s Eid releases and the blockbusters that they turn out to be and we bet Radhe will be the next addition to this list. On 13 May, Radhe will premiere on ZEE5 platform.
