Ranveer Singh Roped In For Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Next Film Baiju Bawra

Ranveer Singh is one of the leading actors of Bollywood who has been a part of several chartbuster films in his career. Now, he has been roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project titled Baiju Bawra. As per reports, the film is going to be a musical saga that is based on a ‘revenge story of a maverick hero.’ Earlier, rumours had it that Ranbir Kapoor was approached for the film. However, makers have now dismissed the rumours and have confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be playing the lead role.

Ranveer Singh has already worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on many magnum opus projects before. They include Ram Leela, Padmaavat, and Bajirao Mastani. In all three films, he was cast alongside his lady love Deepika Padukone. However, for Baiju Bawra, the lead actress is yet to be confirmed by the makers.

All of Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s collaborations have been the highest-grossing films of their time, and fans are really excited about their upcoming film. As per reports, Ranveer has said that even he is very excited about the project and that he always feels ‘energetic’ while working with the ace filmmaker.

Some of Ranveer’s other upcoming projects include 83, in which he will be playing the role of former cricket player Kapil Dev. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 4th, however, it was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from this, Ranveer will also be making an extended cameo appearance in Sooryavanshi that features Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead. He will be reprising his role from  Simmba in the cameo. His other upcoming projects include Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus.
