Sidharth Shukla’s mother, Rita Shukla, visited him in the house even though he was on Bigg Boss. He’d been away for a long time, and his emotions were running high as they approached their rendezvous. She even sent a letter to Bigg Boss in one of the episodes, thanking the show for helping her get to know her kid better. On one of Women’s Day, the late actor shared photos from the finale with them, saying that there was nothing a woman couldn’t achieve that a man couldn’t do. He had stated that they were more resilient and had ‘phenomenal’ multitasking ability. Sidharth had mentioned how she was a huge rock for him when his father died, taking care of home despite the family’s financial difficulties and making sacrifices.

Several big film production firms took notice of his acting abilities, and he eventually secured a part in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which featured Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. Angad Bedi, an NRI doctor and Alia’s character’s fiance, was played by Sidharth. In 2015, he won a Stardust Award for Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male) for the film.
