SSR Case: Rhea Chakraborty To Virtually Appear Before Court; Her Judicial Custody Ends Today

Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) on September 8, for her alleged involvement in a drug case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Before the arrest, Rhea was grilled multiple times by the NCB officials. Later, the actress was remanded to 14-day judicial custody till September 22. According to the latest news reports, Rhea is currently in Byculla jail and will virtually appear before the court today. Sources also claim that Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde may apply for the actor’s bail at the high court.

Earlier, the court had extended Rhea Chakraborty’s custody by rejecting her bail plea. The NCB authorities have also arrested Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty and several other drug peddlers in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and the investigating officials may also interrogate several other personalities from the entertainment industry in the coming days.
