Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker was recently subjected to trolling on the internet again as she voiced her opinion on the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The incident kicked off when the actor replied to a renowned journalist regarding the current healthcare situation in the country. She stated that India now needs a new Prime Minister as the incumbent government has failed to serve the people at the time of a grave crisis. The tweet was quick to go viral on social media as she received mixed reactions from the people regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his work. Some people were of the stance that India cannot have a better leader than Shri. Narendra Modi while others believe that he has failed the people in more ways than one.

Swara Bhasker recently faced a new wave of backlash on social media as she spoke against the current Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi. According to the video attached above, the discussion started when popular journalist Shekhar Gupta pointed out that the PM needs a new team in order to curb the ongoing COVID-19 second wave. To this, Swara Bhasker specified that the country needs a new Prime Minister, indicating that she is unhappy with the central government’s work in handling the COVID crisis.

The tweet went viral within minutes and she started receiving blatant hate and trolling right after. Most people were offended as they believe NaMo is the best leader India has ever had. They also specified that he is the choice of the country and hence such demands must not be made. However, a few people also came out in support of Swara Bhasker and joined the conversation. They mentioned that the government has not been doing enough while hundreds of people are dying on a daily basis due to the lack of COVID resources. The hashtag, ‘#ResignModi’ had also been trending on the internet as people have been furious about poor health care facilities.
