Recently, after the Income Tax department conducted a 3-days long raid at Taapsee Pannu’s residence, she has become a part of the most viral discussions on social media. In a press conference that had been conducted for her movie Mulk, she was asked if social media, especially for India, has more advantages or disadvantages. She said, “I feel it’s both a blessing and a curse. A blessing, because without it, I would not have known how many people love me.”
“The disadvantage is that now I am easily available for people to abuse,” Taapsee Pannu added. She also said, “But that’s okay, sometimes those trolls give me a chance to be funny and make people laugh. I never believe in ‘eye for an eye’, so I always try to be funny when replying to my trolls. I don’t know if you all also find it funny.”

The director of Mulk, Anubhav Sinha, who was also present in the press conference, was also asked the same question. He said, “Social media should be shut down completely. That way, people will spend more time with themselves. Even if there are the same number of advantages and disadvantages, I do not want those disadvantages. I would rather let go of the benefits for the sake of getting rid of the drawbacks.”
After Mulk, director Anubhav Sinha had once again collaborated with Taapsee Pannu, for the film Thappad, which had released in 2020.
