Mohini gives a rare flower to Maari and cleverly lures her into smelling it. Unaware of Mohini's intention, Maari faints on smelling the flower. While Surya looks for Maari, Mohini carries an unconscious Maari away.
Surya is shocked when the hermit tells him that the lady who approached him was not an ordinary woman but a Mohini, who was invoked to kill Maari and the baby.
The snake flairs its hood and stops Surya, who pleads with it to move away. But the snake bites Surya. Despite the snake bite, Surya reaches the ‘Kattamman’ temple but faints before lighting the lamp.
Devi's spirit heaves a sigh of relief when Surya crosses the pond without letting the lamp blow off. Jasmine tries to cause hindrance in Maari's surgery but Devi's spirit punishes her.
When Surya informs the family that Devi visited him, Tara feigns happiness for him. Later, an evil Tara appears in front of a portrait of Devi and boastfully declares that she will send Surya and Maari to her, and if she fails to do so, she will not hesitate to kill the unborn child if Maari becomes pregnant.
Surya tries to stop Tara from taking a drastic step. He blames himself for Jasmine's situation and announces that he will marry her, leaving Maari shattered.
Tara on learning the truth about Maari's deceit holds Murugan at gunpoint but he shows her a video clip when she threatens of revealing the truth to Surya.
Maari gets suspicious when Tara and Jasmine look at her and smile. Tara instructs the goons to keep Murugan in captivity and stages an act when Surya informs her that Murugan is missing.
Tara is stunned when Surya summons the officers to apply for a passport for Maari. She is all the more astonished when Surya tells her about taking Maari on an international trip for ten days after Jasmine and Murugan’s marriage.
Tara warns Maari, who pokes fun at her. Tara gets angry when Maari tells her that she will play with her children very soon. Maari threatens Jasmine when she tries to manipulate her.
