Zidd: The Teaser Of The Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri Starrer Sets An Inspirational #JeetKiZidd Tone

Have you ever been hit by a strong wave of emotions just by looking at a 39-second video? Well, that’s the Zidd’s teaser for you. Zee5 just dropped the teaser for its upcoming show titled Zidd and the fans already cannot wait for this rather emotional yet inspirational story to be out.  Zidd is based on true events and chronicles around a couple with a ‘never give up’ attitude who turn impossible situations in their favor. It stars promising actors such as Amit Sadh and Amrita Suri in lead roles and is set to premiere on 22nd January next year.

The 39-second teaser opens with Amit Sadh struggling in deep waters. In the background, Amit can be heard narrating “gir gaya toh phirse uthunga, haar gaya toh phirse ladunga“. This line certainly sets an inspirational tone for the entire series that narrates the tale of a Kargil soldier who loses movement in the lower half of his body and despite the struggles, beats the odds to come out stronger.

Amit Sadh can be seen brilliantly portraying the role of a differently-abled man. The struggles, emotions, and hardships of a soldier who has sustained injuries in war are impeccably portrayed by Sadh in the short clip. While we could not see much of Amrita in the teaser, we can tell from the small glimpses that she would have aced the role of Sadh’s character’s supportive and brave wife.

Apart from the characters, another element of the teaser that stands out is the location. The hilly terrains and deserted lands accurately bring out the look-and-feel of a war zone and a soldier’s life there. The background score is quite gripping and blends perfectly well with the visuals of the teaser. Overall, makers have perfectly managed to wrap the crux of the story in 39 seconds while giving the audience an anticipatory flash of thrill.

Producer Boney Kapoor said, “Zidd is a great human story of valor and determination on the backdrop of the esteemed Special Forces of our great Indian Army and these are the times when this story is even more relevant” while Amit Sadh said, “I would like to dedicate this (Zidd) to our country, to our citizens and each and every soldier of our country”. Zidd is directed by Vishal Mangalorkar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. It is all set to premiere on 22nd January 2021 only on Zee5.
