Buddha: The Great Departure, an adventure movie, starts with Siddhartha Gautama, born in the Shakya kingdom. It was predicted that Siddhartha would rule all kingdoms when he was born. At that time, numerous kingdoms were engaged in ongoing conflicts with one another. When the youngster reached puberty, he began hanging around with people from lower social classes, including Migaila, a girl with a record for stealing. Siddhartha, nurtured in privilege as a future king, started to develop concerns about the rigid class system. 

Later, Shakya is attacked by the strong kingdom of Kosala. Fighting is fierce on both sides. Chapra (played by Masato Sakai) is responsible for Kosala's army. He is regarded as the Kosala kingdom's bravest soldier. He is regarded as the Kosala kingdom's most courageous soldier. Chapra concealed the fact that he was born into slavery. He ascended to his present position at the general's directive. 

Siddhartha abandons his family's wealth to achieve Tao, while Chapra seeks to establish a prosperous career. The conflict between these two opposing individuals alters the destiny of their separate kingdoms. Eventually, Siddhartha achieves his goal of enlightenment while Chapra rises to a powerful position as Kosala's ruler. 

The plot shows how two people with drastically different backgrounds can find a common purpose. It demonstrates the power of resilience and the importance of questioning one's preconceived notions. By challenging their beliefs, they can find a way to work together and achieve their individual goals.
