5 Reasons Why We Are Excited For Vimala Raman’s Digital Debut Series PubGoa On ZEE5

South Indian actor Vimala Raman’s first web series, PubGoa, is all set to premiere on streaming platform ZEE5 on Friday, November 27, 2020. The series, touted to be a fantasy-thriller, had its teaser released by popular Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi. Sharing the teaser online, Vijay Sethupathi wrote, “Thrilled to release the teaser of #PubGoa.” (sic) 

As the Vimala Raman-starrer gears up for release, here are five reasons that have got us excited for the series. 

1.Vimala Raman’s return to acting 

PubGoa marks the return of popular South Indian actor Vimala Raman after a hiatus. Vimala was last seen in Kollywood movie Iruttu (2019) in an extended cameo role. Vimala essays the role of a cop in the forthcoming series and will be performing high-octane action sequences. 

2.Vimala Raman in uniform

Vimala Raman essays the role of a police inspector in PubGoa. Vimala will be playing the role of a cop after a decade. She last played an inspector in GV Sudhakar Naidu’s ‘Ranga The Donga’. Vimala Raman, in one her social media posts, expressed gratitude for donning the uniform again. She wrote, “When duty calls!! Only in acting do we get the joy of living numerous walks of life Honoured to be donning the uniform again.” (sic)

3. PubGoa’s novel genre 

PubGoa, directed by Lakshmi Narayan Raju, is the first Indian web series that has its narrative involving virtual-reality. The show narrates the tale of gamers who arrive in Goa to celebrate New Year. However, their celebration turns fatal after a series of murders occur. PubGoa intertwines virtual reality to its intriguing storyline effortlessly to offer the audiences a one of its kind series. 

4.Vimala Raman’s first web series 

Vimala Raman, who has been a part of the South Indian film industry for more than a decade, makes her digital debut with ZEE5’s PubGoa. Vimala Raman while releasing the official poster of her web series debut online seemed excited. She wrote, “Super excited to share the first look for my first web series releasing on the 27th of November #pubgoa streaming on @zee5tamil. Don’t miss it guys.” (sic)

5. Cast and crew 

Besides Vimala Raman, actors like Dev, Leo SivaDass, Udith Dushyanth, Sampath Raj, and others are also part of PUBGOA’s cast. The fantasy-thriller also has an excellent crew that has names like Karthikkthillai, and others who have been associated with some of the most appreciated films and series in the recent past.
