Trisha participated in several beauty pageants

Trisha started her career as a model and appeared in many television and print ads. She participated in beauty pageants like Miss Salem, Miss Chennai and many more. She won Miss Salem and Miss Chennai beauty pageants in 1999. She also won the award for most beautiful smile in Miss India 2001.

Trisha loves travelling and is an animal freak

Trisha loves spending her free time with animals. She is a goodwill ambassador of PETA. Trisha is often seen spending time with her dog Cadbury.

Trisha wanted to be a criminal psychologist

The Samar actor was born and brought up in Madras. She pursued her Bachelors in Business Administration at the Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai. Trisha aspired to become a criminal psychologist, but also wanted to act in films. However, she thought she would complete her education , but received her first role in Jodi soon after winning at beauty pageants.

She ended her engagement with Varun Manian in 2015

On January 23, 2015, the actor was engaged to Varun Manian, a businessman based in Chennai. However, a few months later in May 2015, she announced that the couple ended their engagement.

Trisha is a UNICEF celebrity advocate 

The Endrendrum Punnagai actor has been working with UNICEF to spread awareness about several issues and helping in the cause. She has supported causes like anaemia, child marriage, child labour and child abuse in states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala. She has also been supporting children’s education as an important aspect in these states.

She played a mother to a child at the age of only 19

While her initial career in TV commercials, Trisha has played several roles. She also portrayed the role of a mother for a Horlicks advertisement at the age of just 19.

Before making her film debut, Trisha was seen in a music video titled Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye by Falguni Pathak. She was seen playing the role of actor Ayesha Takia’s friend. The video was directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru.
