Meezaan Jaffrey Wants To Romance The Mastani Of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone On-Screen

Bollywood’s young star kid, Meezaan Jaffrey made his film debut with the 2019 romantic drama, Malaal. His performance in the film was highly praised and ever since then, everyone has been waiting for his next. Well, the wait is over as Meezaan’s next, Hungama 2 will be premiering on Disney+Hotstar on July 23, 2021. Meanwhile, in an interview, Meezaan has revealed his desire to work with the gorgeous Deepika Padukone in one of his next films. Read on to know more.

Meezaan Jaffrey wants to romance Deepika Padukone

In Hungama 2, Meezaan will be seen working with actress Shilpa Shetty. According to the story, Shetty’s husband in the film played by Paresh Rawal will misunderstand the equation between the duo as romance. Hence, when in an exclusive interview with Times Now, when Meezaan was asked if he would be open to romance an older woman in a film, he reacted positively. He also stated that Deepika Padukone would be his choice of heroine “for sure”. However, he also added that the film and his character is more important than these “minute details”. Expressing his preference from the younger lot of actresses Meezaan chose, Janhvi Kapoor and Tara Sutaria.

Meezaan Jaffrey on working with Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal

Talking about his experience of working with Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal, Jaffrey added, “Because both of them are so senior, at first I was quite intimidated, I was nervous, I didn’t know how I am going to be addressing them, how I’m going to form a relationship with them, is it only going to be like in front of the camera or if there are going to be conversations behind the camera as well”.

However, he added that he has developed a good bond with everyone on set and always wishes to create off-screen bonds as well. He also praised Shilpa Shetty Kundra calling her “extremely sweet and supportive”.

Upcoming films

After Hungama 2, Meezaan Jaffrey will be seen in an action flick. Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty, who’s making a comeback after almost 7 years will be seen in Sabbir Khan’s Nikamma. On the other hand, Paresh Rawal will be featuring in Aankh Micholi and The Storyteller.
