However, the Lucknow police commissioner has told that Kiran Gosavi cannot surrender in the Uttar Pradesh capital as the Lucknow police station does not fall under their jurisdiction to take action against him.
A man claiming to be Kiran Gosavi’s personal bodyguard made allegations of bribery against him. The bodyguard’s name is Prabhakar Sail. Prabhakar Sail, who is another witness in the case, shared a great deal of information. Prabhakar said that he overheard a telephonic conversation between his employer and Sam D’Souza to the tune of Rs 18 crore.
Mr Sail claimed he heard Mr Gosavi say they should ask for a ‘bomb Rs. 25 crore’ and then settle at Rs. 18 crores. Out of the 18 crores, Rs. 8 crores is for the NCB’s zonal officer Sameer Wankhede who is in charge of the investigation.
Gosavi stated that he has no knowledge about this. He said that he was hearing this for the first time, adding that he had not met Mr Wankhede before October 2.
A special court rejected Aryan’s bail on Oct 20 after which his team of lawyers filed an appeal in Bombay High Court. The matter will now come up for hearing on Oct 26.
