Agga Bai Sasubai: Veteran Actor Mohan Joshi Replaces Late Actor Ravi Patwardhan As ‘Ajoba’ On The Show

Actor Ravi Patwardhan, who was last seen essaying the role of Ajoba on Zee Marathi’s popular show Agga Bai Sasubai,  passed away last year on December 6 at the age of 84 following a heart attack.  His character was immensely loved by the audience on the show and now the makers of the family drama have decided to cast veteran actor Mohan Joshi to replace him as Ajoba.

Mohan Joshi has been an eminent personality in the film and television industry for several decades now. He has been a part of numerous Hindi and Marathi films and television shows. Some of his notable works include Tu Tithe Me, Aakrosh, Bhagban, Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta, Eka Lagnachi Teesri Goshta, and more. He has also won several awards for his illustrious work including the National Film Award.

The news of Mohan Joshi replacing Ravi Patwardhan was shared on the official Instagram handle of Zee Marathi on Tuesday. Several pictures of Mohan Joshi as Ajoba were posted with a caption saying “Ajobancha toch awaaz punha kanavar yenar” (The same voice of Ajoba will be heard again). Agga Bai Sasubai fans were happy to hear the news of Ajoba being back on the show and expressed their delight in the comment section. Many users said that even though ‘Ravi Kaka’ will be missed, they were excited to see Mohan Joshi playing Ajoba’s role. “Good replacement. But there will still be a special part of Ravi Patwardhan🙏🙏”, a user commented.

Currently, on the show, Soham seems to have realized his mistakes and wishes for his aai to come back. He even breaks down in front of Shubhra and expresses how much he misses his mother. Even though Asawari is adamant about not forgiving Soham, it is possible that with Ajoba being back on the show, he may be able to unite his family again. What do you think will happen?
