Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Wishes Her Parents On Their Wedding Anniversary; Actress Returns To Social Media After Summoned By ED

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently making headlines after the Enforcement Directorate probe in the Panama Papers leak case. In connection with the case, the actor appeared before the ED in Delhi on December 20. On Wednesday, December 22 night, the actress made her first appearance on social media since then, posting a heartfelt message a day before her parents’ wedding anniversary on Instagram.

The former Miss World shared a lovely photo of her parents, mother Vrinda Rai, and late father Krishnaraj Rai, who died in 2017. Sharing the photo on her social media account, the actress wrote happy anniversary dearest, darling MommyDoddaaa-DaddyAjjaaa. She also added love to you and thank you so much for all their unconditional love and blessings always. The actress added multiple heart emojis.

After being summoned by the ED in the matter, the actress was interrogated by agency officials for nearly five hours at the ED’s Jamnagar house office in Delhi. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was interrogated about her alleged ties to an offshore company. Under the Foreign Exchange Management Act of 1999. According to reports, the Bollywood star had previously submitted records related to foreign payments to the ED, which had issued a notice to the Bachchan family, asking them to explain their foreign remittances since 2004 under the RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS).

When the Panama Papers were leaked, the names of several well-known people came to light. The list included former and current international leaders, government officials, legislators, celebrities, and corporate executives. The obtained papers reportedly reveal 11000 Indians including celebrities and businessmen.
