Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is one of the many celebrities who has taken an initiative to help the people in Mumbai who have been heavily affected by the COVID-19 second wave. According to the most recent developments, a series of artists from Bollywood have contributed to the Smiley account which is the business development cell of the BMC, which has been helping the citizens in Mumbai with resources. These celebs have reportedly contributed over one crore to set up 20 ventilator ICU beds with oxygen supply at the Scout Banquet Hall, Shivaji Park.

Various Bollywood celebrities have stepped up to help the people in Mumbai as the number of cases saw a sudden surge, a few weeks back. Mumbai had been one of the worst-hit cities in the country, which resulted in a severe shortage of oxygen, ICU beds, and ventilators. According to the video attached above, actor Ajay Devgn and a series of other Bollywood artists recently contributed to the funds being raised by the BMC. These funds have been utilized in the conversion of Scout Banquet Hall in Shivaji Park to a COVID facility to treat the severe patients who have been affected by the virus.

The facility consists of 20 Intensive Care Units, which have been installed with ventilators and proper oxygen supply which will help the people as there is a severe shortage in the country. According to the report, celebs like Boney Kapoor, Anand Pandit, Luv Ranjan, and Leela Yadav, are amongst the many celebs who have contributed to the Smiley account at the time of grave crisis. Other actors like Alia Bhatt, John Abraham, and Vicky Kaushal, have been making efforts to spread the word regarding COVID-19 resources which can help the people in many ways.
