Amul Celebrates Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Saina’; Actor Appreciates ‘The Stamp Of Approval’

The popular dairy brand Amul, which holds a special place in almost all Indian households, recently celebrated the release of Parineeti Chopra starrer sports film, Saina. On the occasion of Holi 2021, the dairy giant celebrated the festival of colours with a quirky doodle of Parineeti as Saina. Upon seeing the sweet gesture, Parineeti Chopra was left heartily impressed. Watch intriguing details regarding the same in the video below:

Taking to Twitter, the official page of Amul hailed Parineeti Chopra as ace badminton player Saina Nehwal. Sharing a pink doodle of the actor, the brand asked the actor, “Khaya Na, Nehwal?”. This was followed with a subtext that read, “Bread pe maar doongi”. The doodle art pictures Parineeti in a purple avatar all set to hammer the badminton cock with her racket. As soon as the post caught Parineeti’s attention, the actor was left extremely delighted with the brand’s gesture. The actor who portrays the lead role in the film expressed that her “heart is full!” with the sweet post. Further on, Parineeti also thanked the brand for their ‘stamp of approval’, as it meant the world to her.

Helmed by Amole Gupte, Saina traces the journey of badminton powerhouse Saina Nehwal. Belonging to a middle class and humble background, Saina’s big ambition leads her towards a path of victory. Smashing every opponent in her way, Saina went on to become one of the most successful athletes in India. The film takes audiences into the childhood of the player, where she can be seen developing her love for the sport.

With encouragement from her family and bittersweet motivation from her coaches, the movie showcases how she bagged an Olympic bronze medal, amongst other achievements. The biopic traces the athlete’s downfalls and narrates how the player tackled each obstacle with high grit and spirit. Initially, the movie was supposed to hit the silver screens in 2020, but owing to the pandemic, after facing several delays, the movie was finally released theatrically on March 26, 2021.
