Britney Spears “On cloud 9” after her father’s removal from her conservatorship

Britney Spears conservatorship held control of her entire career, life, and money earned for 13 years. On Wednesday, a judge gave a ruling in favour of Britney suspending her father Jamie Spears from the Conservatorship.

After the judgement, Britney said that she is, “on cloud 9”.

The decision comes months after the Britney Spears pleaded for her father’s removal in dramatic court hearings, saying, “I want my life back.”

As per the case filed by Britney’s legal team, the Conservatorship provided a ‘toxic work environment’.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny agreed with the petition from Spears and her lawyer that Jamie Spears needs to give up his role as conservator.  Fans hope that she can be entirely free from all controls of the court too within weeks.

“The current situation is untenable,” the judge said after hearing arguments from both sides. “It reflects a toxic environment which requires the suspension of James Spears.”

And with no objections to ending the conservatorship, Judge Penny is likely to terminate it at a Nov. 12 hearing thereby restoring the singer’s life and money to her. Judge Penny has been very vocal about her support of #FreeBritney in the recent years.

Jamie Spears sought the conservatorship in 2008 and had been its primary controller. He reversed course in recent weeks, asking the judge to end the conservatorship immediately, arguing that would render his removal pointless. This has been speculated as another ‘Controlling Act’ by Jamie in order to still toy with Britney’s life.

Britney and her attorney agreed that the conservatorship should end, but argued that Jamie Spears’ removal was an ‘essential first step’.
