In an interview for Zee Kannada on Facebook, Bhatre revealed to fans about his inspiration to come up with a youth-centric story like Panchatantra.

The romantic-drama Panchatantra directed by Yogaraj Bhat is a film particularly tailored for the millennial section and of course any racing fan out there. Starring the newcomer Vihan Gowda as Karthik and Sonal Monteiro as Sahitya in the lead roles, the veteran Rangayana Raghu too has done commendable work as Karthik’s arch-nemesis, Ranganna. In a way, the film is a depiction of the battle between the old and the new. With romance, humour, car-racing and an age-old rivalry standing as the four pillar-plots of Panchatantra, it’s a guaranteed entertainer through and through.

Today, we will look at some exclusive comments from the director Yogaraj Bhat about his take on the film.

Director Yogaraj Bhat was inspired by the tales of Panchatantra while making the film. In the exclusive interview, Bhatre said that he wanted to portray the essence of a difference in opinion between the older and the younger generations. He wanted to show how differently each thinks and why. His way to make it a hit with the younger generations was adding a sports-element to it. That, along with an action-element, a family-drama-element, a romantic-element and a comedy-element made it the 5 elements aka ‘Panchatantra’ (Pancha means five).

The director also spoke at length about the sets; a garage (run by Karthik) and the ‘Rangappa complex’ (managed by Ranganna) in front of it. Furthermore, he praised composer Harikrishna for beautifully bringing out the music suited to both the generations looked at in the movie. Rangayana Raghu received good comments for his comic role in the film and setting the balance right opposite the lead. Vihan Gowda too was appreciated for his talents by the director.
