Esha Deol Shares Trailer Of Her First Film Ek Duaa As Producer

Actor-turned-producer Esha Deol recently took to social media to announce her first project as a producer. She even shared the trailer of her film, Ek Duaa, and the fans are loving it. This film not only marks Esha’s debut as a producer but also her return to the cinemas as an actress. She was last seen in the 2019 short film Cakewalk. Now, after a hiatus of almost three years, she will be returning to the screens as Abida in Ek Duaa.

As per reports, Ek Duaa has touched upon the concept of gender equality and is helmed by filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee. Some of his other works include Season’s Greetings, Broken Frame, Shubho Bijoya, and Cakewalk. Sharing the trailer of her film on Instagram, Esha wrote, “Here’s the trailer of our film “Ek Duaa” Your love, Duas, good wishes and blessings have always meant a lot to us.”

The trailer shows Abida fighting for equal rights for her daughter. The plotline of the film revolves around Abida, her husband, and their daughter. Even though the couple is happy about having a daughter, their family pressurizes them to have a son. In the trailer, Abida says that we should accept whatever God has blessed us with and we should not go against nature.

Soon after the trailer was posted on social media, fans and other members of the film fraternity started flooding the comment section to congratulate the actress. “Looking forward to seeing it biyars”, wrote Celina Jaitly. Lillete Dubey, on the other hand, wrote “Many congrats ! Looking forward to it ! ❤️” The film is all set to release on July 26 on streaming platform Voot Select.
