According to a leading daily, actress Evan Rachel Wood exposed harassment during her romance with rock singer Marilyn Manson in the latest documentary.

Wood, 34, describes a turbulent relationship with Manson, whose real identity is Brian Warner, in the video “Phoenix Rising – Part I: Don’t Fall.” As per the major daily, the documentary was screened at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23rd and will air on HBO later this year.

“I came to the director Amy Berg really frantic to have listened, for this narrative to be presented, and for individuals to actually give heed to what we’ve been expressing and how important it is,” Wood said in a Q&A after the debut of her film. “My experience isn’t uncommon”, she added.

When Wood was 19 years old, she acted in a staged sex session for Manson’s video for the song “Heart-Shaped Glasses.” “Under pretenses, I was forced into a commercialized sex act,” Wood claimed in the documentary. “That’s when the first assault involving me occurred, and I was effectively molested in front of the camera.”

In an Instagram post last year, Wood openly accused Manson of physical and sexual harassment throughout their affair.
Filmmakers approached Manson for the documentary, but he did not comment on specific allegations, according to the newspaper. The singer “adamantly denies any and all charges of sexual abuse or exploitation of anyone,” according to a statement from his attorneys included in the video.

The singer of “Beautiful People” has been accused of physical and sexual assault by a number of women, with some victims already pursuing lawsuits against him. In 2007, when he was 38 and she was 19, Wood and Manson made their romance official. They were engaged for a short time in 2010 before parting up. Wood alleged Manson of abusive behavior in public in 2021, claiming she was “tricked into submitting” during their relationship.
