We’re all aware of the fervour that fans have for the Fast & Furious franchise. We’ve been watching them for a long time, and the adrenaline rush we feel after seeing them is completely out of this world. The movies have played a role in people’s upbringing. Almost everyone, from children to adults, is a fan of the F&F series.
Fast and Furious 10 and 11 are slated to conclude the film franchise narrative, succeeding F9, which opened in June and garnered $726 million at the global box office. In contrast, Furious 7 was the highest-grossing film in the Fast franchise, grossing $353 million.
F9 is the sixth highest-earning film in the series, after only Hobbs & Shaw, which generated $209 million. Nevertheless, spinoffs such as Hobbs and Shaw, which featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham in 2019, could remain if the core franchise dies. The Fast and Furious franchise has added Jason Momoa to its cast, according to a tweet from the Fast Saga on 28th January. “The Fast Fam continues to grow. Jason Momoa Welcome”, the tweet read.
Momoa is pictured in a tuxedo and black tie against a red, white, and blue backdrop on the poster. There’s no news as to who Momoa’s role will be, or if he’ll be an adversary or a member of Dominic Toretto’s clan. While plot details are being withheld, the Aquaman star could play one of the movie’s antagonists.
F9 reintroduced John Cena as Jakob, Dominic, and Mia Toretto’s long-lost never-mentioned brother, and also Sung Kang, Lucas Black, and Shad Moss as Han, Sean, and Twinkie. Nevertheless, The Rock’s role Luke Hobbs was absent from the film, whilst Statham’s Deckard Shaw did a fleeting cameo.
Following an Instagram post in November in which Diesel requested that the erstwhile WWE star return, Johnson stated in a December appearance that there was “no chance” of that occurring, branding Diesel deceitful.
The F10 is scheduled to be released in 2023. Vin Diesel and Nathalie Emmanuel also appear in the film. Meanwhile, Momoa wrapped shooting on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom last year.
