1)  Prakash started his acting career with a salary of Rs 300 per month

Back when the actor was just starting out with acting as a theatre artist, he was paid a salary of just Rs 300 every month. When he joined Kalakshetra, he had to take part in back-to-back stage shows in Bengaluru. The actor has seen a fair share of struggles before he made a name for himself.

2) Prakash Raj has over 2000 street performances to his credit

Be it acting, directing or even producing, the actor has done it all. Apart from films and plays, the actor was also extensively involved in street plays. He has over 2000 street plays to his credit!

3) Prakash Raj commands fluency in 7 languages

While most of us have a hard time keeping up with three languages, Prakash Raj has mastered seven languages, i.e. Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi and English. The actor dubs for himself in any language that he acts and this certainly adds authenticity to his character.

4) The actor is a recipient of multiple state and national awards

Apart from Filmfare and SIIMA, the actor has countless awards from various states and National film awards. This includes five Nandi awards, five National Awards and eight Tamil Nadu state film awards for his exceptional contribution to cinema and we know that the actor deserves all of this and much more!

5) The actor had a diverse upbringing because of his parents 

Prakash Raj’s father speaks Tulu and his mother speaks Kannada. He was born and brought up in Bengaluru, because of which he has had a diverse upbringing and this is one of the biggest contributing factors to his fluency in multiple languages. Although he considers Kannada to be his mother tongue, he is equally fluent in all the other six languages.

6) Prakash Raj featured in a calendar that celebrates him as one of the greatest villains

The actor recently took to Twitter posting about how he featured as one of the most celebrated villains along with Amrish Puri and many other celebrated actors. “A calendar celebrating epic villains along with Ajit, Amjad khan Amaresh puri Raghuvaran n Nambiyar sir. Honoured !!” he said, taking to the platform!
