#1 The diversity we can all be proud of
Malayalam movie B. Tech tells the story of a group of students from Bangalore who are introduced to a village boy from Kerala. Anand (Asif Ali) the leader of the group fails to understand the purpose of his life as he seems to be attracting trouble all the time. One of the best scenes from the movie comes when Azad (Arjun Ashokan) invites the gang of friends to visit his village. Anand who witnesses the village atmosphere and different culture for the first time gets amused by looking at the rich diversity of our country.
#2 Fight for your rights!
One important lesson to take away from B.Tech is that we all should be ready to fight for our rights. When Azad (Arjun Ashokan) gets stopped by police officers for riding a bike without a helmet, a senior officer aggravates the scene by branding him a terrorist. Anand comes for Azad’s rescue and stands up against the corrupt cop. We should all take inspiration from Anand in B.Tech on this Independence Day and fight for our rights.
#3 Lead with pride
One of the most emotional scenes in the movie appears when Azad gets killed in a bomb blast. The corrupt police officers use the opportunity to brand Azad’s friends as terrorists and arrest them. These difficult circumstances wake up the leader in Anand, who then organises a student movement to get justice for his late friend. Even though he is battling bureaucratic giants, Anand (Asif Ali) believes in the democratic system of India that allows him to protest and fight for his friends.
#4 Truth always triumphs
Even though it starts off as a fun college movie, B.Tech is sure to leave you on the edge of your seats during different occasions. The court scene during the climax leaves us all with goosebumps when Anand (Asif Ali) produces the evidence to free his friends from jail and finally gets justice for his deceased friend, Azad.
On this Independence Day, B.Tech reminds all of us that as individuals we can make positive changes in the system if we are willing to fight for it. We should all take inspiration from Anand in B.Tech and work for the betterment of our great nation.
