8 Powerful And Evil Organisations In Movies That Showed Us the Ruthless Side of Businessmen

Multiple times we come across stories where the antagonist is the owner of an evil enterprise that aims to mess up the protagonist’s life. At times, the owners and their evil syndicates bring forth a lot more chaos, that messes up multiple lives. From Black Widows to Sarkar 3, here we are recalling some shows and films with such evil organizations.

Black Widows

Black Widows is a show about three women who kill their husbands as retaliation for their abusive behaviours. However, they find themselves in a bigger mess, as one of the men, Jatin Mehrotra (Sharad Kelkar) owned a transport company that worked with a firm called MediPharma. Owned by Inaya Thakur (Raima Sen), MediPharma was responsible for conducting human trials on unaware people, unethically, which resulted in the deaths of most of them.

Naxalbari

Naxalbari is a show about an STF agent, who aims to curtail the uprising of Naxalites in a town. In the show, the Naxalites were revealed to be standing up against a mining corporation, FICA. The director of FICA, Keswani (Aamir Ali) aimed to encroach upon the lands of tribals living in the area for their mining activities, which got the Naxalites angry and wanting to rebel against the company. Keswani’s FICA is a perfect example of one such evil organization.

Simmba

The third movie in the Singham franchise, starring Ranveer Singh in the title role, also starred Sonu Sood as the antagonist, Durva Ranade. Durva Ranade, along with his two brothers, owned multiple clubs and bars in Goa, which add into our list of evil enterprises. Durva’s brothers used these clubs and bars to secretly supply drugs. They even used to use little kids for their drug peddling activities.

The Casino

The Casino is a ZEE5 Original show, revolving around a man who ran a casino in Nepal. Shailendra (Sudhanshu Pandey) owned the casino and under the guise of his casino, got multiple people killed for his benefits. After Shailendra got killed, his girlfriend Rehana (Mandana Karimi) kept the same activities going on under the guise of their casino.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Starring Shahid Kapoor, Divyenndu Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a film about a small town which has issues with its electricity supplier. Divyenndu Sharma in the film plays the role of Sundar Mohan Tripathi, the owner of a small printing press. The notorious company in this film, is the electricity company, SPTL. The company issues Tripathi’s printing press a false and extremely huge electricity bill of Rs 1.5 lakhs, which later increases to Rs 54 lakhs. The film then follows a court proceeding against the company’s felonious bill issues.

Tigers

Based on a true story, Tigers is a film about a man from Pakistan, Ayaan (Emraan Hashmi), who works as a salesman for a company, that makes and supplies a milk substitute for babies. The company, named Lasta in the film, is the organization that is fit for this list. In the film, Ayaan finds out that the milk substitute that Lasta is making and he is selling is actually killing the babies who consume it. Ayaan takes it upon himself to expose Lasta’s truth, risking his life.

No Smoking

This Anurag Kashyap directorial’s evil enterprise is probably one of the scariest fictitious organizations on screen. No Smoking is a film about a man, K (John Abraham), who is addicted to smoking. His friend Abbas (Ranveer Shorey) suggests him to go to ‘Baba Bengali’ who helps people quit smoking. We later find out that Baba Bengali (Paresh Rawal) uses the most extreme ways of ‘treatment’, involving physical and mental torture, to make people quit smoking. This is rather different but most horrific organisation one can come across.

Sarkar 3

In Sakar 3, we see Amitabh Bachchan resuming his role of Subhash Nagre ‘Sarkar’. In the film, a man named Deven Gandhi (Bajrangbali Singh) approaches Sarkar and discusses his plans of building a real estate project over a slum, while not giving any compensations to the residents of that slum. The film also features another evil enterprise, this one of a businessman and mafia boss, Michael Vallya (Jackie Shroff), based in Dubai.
