Hrithik Roshan Starrer ‘Krrish’ Marks 15 Years, Actor Confirms The Follow-Up ‘Krrish 4’

Hrithik Roshan starrer Koi Mil Gaya was a modest attempt in the times when Bollywood mostly had over-the-top romance stories. The film was later spun-off as the superhero franchise ‘Krrish’ which became a major hit among the masses. And now, as the 2006 flick Krrish marked 15 years of its release, Hrithik has a piece of good news for the fans. The actor officially announced the follow-up ‘Krrish 4’ along with a short yet exciting teaser.

Celebrating 15 years of Krrish, Hrithik Roshan confirmed the good news with the fans. Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor shared a teaser, announcing the upcoming ‘Krrish 4’. He wrote, “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. #15YearsOfKrrish #Krrish4”. This update has got the fans all excited as they are assured that the film will set “new benchmarks” in the Indian superhero genre. While nothing more about the film’s setting or story is revealed, the audience is eager to watch Hrithik stepping into the shoes of Krrish yet again.

Earlier in an interview, Hrithik had shared that he was keen on getting back to this superhero project. He was all set to prep for Krrish 4 right after the shoot of his actioner ‘War’. “Right after War, I am going to sit with my father, get everyone together and restart work on Krrish 4. We had put it a little on the side because dad was recovering. Now that he is better, we will kick-start it once more,” Hrithik was quoted saying.

Talking more about this superhero franchise, the first film Koi Mil Gaya was released in 2003. Though labeled as a sci-fi project, the film was entertaining as well as intriguing. And thus garnered a great response from the fans. Later, the film’s sequel ‘Krrish’ turned out to be successful as well. This 2006 flick featured Hrithik alongside Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

Furthermore, the threequel to Krrish hit the big screens in 2013. The film also featured Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Well, it would be great to see how ‘Krrish 4’ takes up the legacy.
