Jibon Saathi: 4 times Jhelum and Priyam saved the day with their clever and bold moves

Zee Bangla’s popular serial Jibon Saathi stars Diya Basu as Priyam, Sayan Karmakar as Sankalpa and Shrabani Bhunia as Jhelum in the lead roles. Jhelum and Priyam are sisters who have taught us all how to stand by each other in times of need and be a pillar of strength for the family. They have crossed many barriers and have been saviours for their family members in many situations. Here are some instances when they managed to cross hurdles and problems with their wit and clever moves.

When they saved Salankara

In a recent episode, Salankara was attacked by the workers of Priyam’s factory on the instruction of Subhash Banerjee. The workers tried to kill Salankara but she was saved by Priyam and Jhelum. Priyam guarded Salankara with her own self and stopped the attacks from the workers. Although Sankalpa blames Priyam as the culprit for his mother’s condition, Priyam continues to tend to Salankara’s wounds and looks after her.

When they rescued Salankara from the Banerjee household

Subhash’s attack on Salankara left her paralysed and she wasn’t able to move any part of her body. While she is kept in the Banerjee household, Subhash threatens to kill her again as she lies helpless on her bed. Priyam and Jhelum get to know that Salankara’s life is in danger and there might be another attempt to kill her. So they enter the house in secrecy and take Salankara to Kamalpur with the help of Bipin. Had it not been for the sisters, Salankara could have lost her life to Subhash.

When Priyam and Jhelum deliver sarees

In another episode, Priyam was supposed to deliver sarees to a client but the driver of the truck, which would carry the sarees, refused to take her order to the desired destination. Priyam tells Jhelum the incident and she arrives in time to solve the problem. Subhash had given money to the driver so that he does not take Priyam’s delivery. Jhelum uses her wit and tells Priyam to get in the truck while the driver is not looking. Jhelum then drives the truck and takes the sarees to the client’s factory.

When Jhelum brought food to Banerjee household

In one of the episodes, Salankara asks Priyam to cook dinner for the entire family on her own, knowing that Priyam has an important meeting to attend that day. When Priyam gets back from work, everyone demands food and insults her when she says that she was busy at work. Right on time, Jhelum appears with a lot of dishes prepared for the family and insists they eat dinner. Previously when Priyam told Jhelum about Salankara’s instruction to cook dinner, Jhelum understood that it is one of her evil moves and thus she prepared well to save her sister from humiliation.
