Kaun Banega Crorepati 13: Neena Gupta Raises Curtains On Her Struggle For Featuring In Amit Sharma’s Badhaai Ho – WATCH

Kaun Banega Crorepati is the television reality show hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. This is the last week of the show so many celebrities are sitting on the hot seat and sharing their vivid anecdotes. In the recent episode, we can see actress Neena Gupta appearing on the show with her Badhaai Ho co-star Gajraj Rao. During the show, we can see the actress sharing the story about her audition for the film Badhaai Ho.

Speaking about the same Neena Gupta said that she wore house help’s salwar kameez and went for the audition of the film. She also shared one incident with the director of the film Amit Sharma. Neena said that director Amit Sharma called her to his office and asked his assistant if this is the role, what should the actress wear and go so that she looks like this character? Amit also said that someone is middle class, so he asked the actress to wear salwar kameez. To which Neena Gupta agreed.

Neena didn’t stop here, she continued the banter and said that she have a cook at home, whose salwar she wore at the audition. Further, she continued talking and mentioned asking Amit if she was looking good. As she wore her maid’s salwar kameez, the director was impressed with Neena. Amitabh Bachchan was left astonished after hearing it all from the horse’s mouth.

Further, revealing more about her journey for the film, Neena said that she was selected for Badhaai Ho after the creators overlooked her short film Khujli. She was paired up with actor Jackie Shroff in the short film. Speaking more about the film, Badhaai Ho, it starred Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao along with Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. In the film, the two were seen as middle-aged couples, whose lives experienced twists and turns after an unanticipated pregnancy.
