In modern parenting, kids are friends with their parents. The parents still impart valuable education and experiences to their children but they also are open to learning important lessons from their kids. These stories on ZEE5 reflect this shift in parenting with fresh stories in TV shows too like Kumkum Bhagya and Ek Mahanayak: Dr B R Ambedkar where the kids are mature to understand their parents too.
1. Bhimrao Ambedkar helps his parents Ramji and Bhimabai
Ek Mahanayak: Dr B R Ambedkar follows the life of Babasaheb Ambedkar right from his childhood. The show highlights how his unique family and relationships helped him deal with the tough conditions he was brought up in. In this clip, young Bhimrao finds out that his father is struggling to make ends meet and decides to take up a part-time job after school to help his family.
2. Prachi consoles her mother Pragya
In Kumkum Bhagya, Pragya is a single mom to Prachi and over the years they have become each other’s support system. Prachi is doubtful about taking part in a fashion show but Pragya convinces her to not worry about what people will say about her. In this clip, Pragya remembers her husband, Abhi, that she separated from. Prachi consoles her and says that she understands instead of holding a grudge against her mother.
3. Abhi comforts his daughter Rhea
Rhea is the ‘spoilt rich kid’ in Kumkum Bhagya. She is faced with a lot of bad influence in her family itself who keep trying to influence her into doing the wrong thing. However, when she makes a mistake she is mature enough to own up to it and apologise. Rhea believes her birth mother abandoned her but Abhi refuses to let her speak ill about her mother. When Rhea realises she hurt her father’s feelings she apologises to him.
