Kumkum Bhagya’s Current Storyline Is Giving Us Major Aitraaz Movie Vibes, Here’s How!
Kumkum Bhagya has become a big battleground with Tanu and Pragya fighting over Abhi. Check out how these current events in the show are reminding us of the movie Aitraaz.
Tanu (Leena Jumani) is currently ruling the storyline in Kumkum Bhagya. She is making Pragya (Sriti Jha) suffer by falsely accusing Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) of rape charges. Now, Tanu is asking Pragya to apologize to her and also get her married to Abhi in return for his freedom. Now we don’t know about you guys but this scenario is certainly reminding us of Kareena Kapoor Khan – Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra’s Aitraaz.
Tanu wanted to be with Abhi from the beginning of the show and just when they were about to get married, he fell in love with Pragya. Tanu was devastated but then she married someone else. But she couldn’t make it work and returned to Abhi’s life. Finally, after waiting for so many years, she decided to seek revenge on the Mehra family. She accused Abhi of rape and is currently busy relishing all the helplessness on Mehra family members.

Interestingly, these events in Kumkum Bhagya are similar to the plot of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor’s movie Aitraaz. In the movie, just like Tanu, Sonia (Priyanka Chopra) is also a successful model who falls in love with Raj (Kumar) but leaves him to fulfil her professional dreams and marries a rich man. Later when she meets him after many years, she wants to rekindle their romance but he’s happily married to Priya (Kareena). When Raj refuses to get back to her, she files a false rape case against him and he is compelled to prove his innocence.

Fortunately, his wife Priya (Kareena Kapoor) is a lawyer and she decides to fight his case. Sonia submits false proofs against him and the media tags him as a rapist. Just as Sonia bribed Raj’s lawyer’s assistant to destroy all the proofs against her, Tanu did the same with Pragya recently.
