Kumkum Bhagya’s Sriti Jha’s Confession About Being Asexual Is Winning The Internet

Sriti Jha has been winning many hearts with her role as Pragya in the popular show, Kumkum Bhagya. In fact now, over the years, she has become a household name and quite a popular one in the television industry. In January 2020, Sriti narrated a poem titled ‘Confessions of a Romantic Asexual’ at the Kommune Spoken Fest in Mumbai. In her 5-minute long poem, she confessed being asexual and also expressed the turmoil that probably danced through her head over the years. Read on to know about her confession.

Sriti Jha firstly talked about how she kept falling in love, sometimes better and other times worst. She said, “They told me I haven’t found the right one yet. As of yet, I had found a right few. The very first I fell in love, things were said and rules were laid.” Adding to this, she talked about her first kiss and mentioned that she was closest to magic after that. She remarked that she learned to lie in words and in moans as ‘it’ was never on her mind. When people in the society questioned her about the same, she hit back by saying that she had felt ‘wow’ in hugs and kisses and that she even felt happy when fingers had run through her tresses.

Jha recalled the time when everyone around her was speaking about sex and she had no one and nothing but just ‘discontent’. By the end of the video, she proudly said, “I am asexual, I am not the only one…” Sharing a glimpse of her narration, Kommune India wrote, “Love goes beyond sex and @itisriti ‘s Confessions Of An Asexual Romantic will show you exactly how!.” The video has gone viral on the internet and netizens have lauded the actor for speaking her heart out. A user wrote, “Her smile refuses to disappear and such defiance might be what the world needs,” whereas, another fan penned, “Love can be possible without sex and kisses that’s what this video is about and that I actually believe, I’m not asexual but a lot of support to them, express your identity and explore.”
