No Way Home is the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 and the 27th overall. The film will have returning actors Tom Holland as Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, which will hit theatres on December 17, 2021

The upcoming picture is dubbed “Spider-Man: Endgame” by Jon Watts, the director of Spider-Man: No Way Home. No Way Home is the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 and the 27th overall. The film will have returning actors Tom Holland as Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, which will hit theatres on December 17, 2021. Benedict Wong as Wong and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange will also appear in the film.

Jon Watts, the director of No Way Home, teased that the final instalment of the Spider-Man trilogy would be an enormous achievement. He recognises that they’ve set a high bar for themselves with this submission. He even called it Spider-Man: Endgame to entice fans.

The film will see Peter Parker grappling with the ramifications of his secret identity being revealed publicly. When he approaches Doctor Strange to cast a forget-me-not spell, he panics at the last minute, and the unsuccessful spell causes the multiverse to fold in on itself, pouring villains from earlier Spider-Man continuities into the MCU. Although it has not been confirmed that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their webslinger roles from previous Spider-Man films, the film has hinted at the return of the Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock have been formally confirmed.

Betty Brant, Ned Leeds , Flash Thompson , Mr. Harrington, Mr. Dell and Coach Wilson will all return in Spider-Man: No Way Home (Hannibal Buress). While they’ll be populating the world around Peter Parker’s high school, there are whispers that even more Marvel heroes will be joining the fray.

The similarities to Avengers: Endgame are obvious given Spider-Man: No Way Home’s dense content. Combining the cast of characters from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy with the MCU is a significant undertaking in itself. Bringing in characters from the previous Spider-Man trilogy (Sam Raimi) as well as Marc Webb from Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, provides for the possibility of hundreds of characters from different films colliding, as Endgame did with the MCU as a whole.
