Maria tells Tara that she will be using this trick to kill Maari. Maria claims that she has a weapon to kill Maari and takes out a book from the bag. She then tells Tara that she applied the deadliest snake poison found in the Amazon on the eleventh page of the book.

In the previous episode of Maari, Sankarapandi questions Tara when she visits the temple. He assumes that she is praying for the well-being of Sreeja’s child. He is surprised to learn about her decision to perform the post-death rituals of Jasmine and consults the priest about it. Back in America, Jasmine’s sister, Maria lights candles in front of Jasmine’s picture mourns her death and decides to seek revenge on Maari. Meanwhile, Maari is surprised when Surya brings the vegetables. He urges Maari to take a rest and offers to cook for her. Maari tells Surya to clean the vegetables and then guides him so that he can cook. Devi’s spirit visits Maari and enquires about her health. It is happy to see Surya’s care and concern for Maari. Devi’s spirit is eager to take birth as Surya’s daughter. Maari requests Devi’s spirit to eat along with them, to which it agrees readily. Surya serves food for Maari and tries to feed her, but she tells him that Devi’s spirit is there and tells him to feed her. Sensing Devi’s spirit’s presence, Surya feeds Devi and is glad when it eats from his hands. Overwhelmed by the incident, Devi thanks Maari and vanishes. Maari pacifies Surya as he shares his desire to rest his head on Devi’s lap. Then Surya feeds Maari with love. As Tara performs the post-death rituals of Jasmine, Maria approaches her and stops her. Tara and Sankarapandi are shocked when Maria introduces herself and decides to perform the rituals herself.

In the next episode of Maari, Maria does the rituals for Jasmine and takes a vow while immersing the ‘Pindam’ in the water. Tara and Sankarapandi are surprised when Maria recognises them. She tells Tara and Sankarapandi that she lived in America and about Jasmine’s sacrifices. As the trio speaks, a man asks Sankarapandi to move to another table as the table is reserved. He argues with the man but Maria interferes and stops them. Maria reveals to Tara about her plan to seek revenge on Maari for killing Jasmine. Sankarapandi and Tara tell her that a divine power protects Maari and it is difficult to harm her. Maria claims that she will attack the man, who asked them to vacate the table, without getting up from her seat. Tara and Sankarapandi rubbish off her claim. So, Maria summons the waiter and hypnotises him and asks him to beat the man across the table. Tara and Sankarapandi are stunned to see the waiter thrashing the customer. The manager throws the waiter out of the restaurant for hitting the customer. Maria tells Sankarapandi that the particular act is known as ‘Nokku Vermam’ and also highlights its significance. Maria tells Tara that she will be using this trick to kill Maari. Maria claims that she has one more weapon to kill Maari and takes out a book from the bag. She then tells Tara that she applied the deadliest snake poison found in the Amazon on the eleventh page of the book. Tara imagines Maari dying after reading the book and praises Maria for her idea to kill Maari. Tara assumes that Maria is her saviour and tells Sankarapandi to swap the book with the book brought by Parvathy. As told by Jagdish, Sujatha calls Maari and informs her about their arrival. Parvathy informs Maari about her daughter’s birthday and she decides to celebrate it. As Tara gets up to prepare coffee for Jagdish, Sankarapandi sneaks into Parvathy’s room and swaps the book. Maria is thrilled when Tara informs her about swapping the book.
